It is with sadness we report that Stevie lost her battle with feline immunodeficiency virus and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge earlier this morning, 2nd October. She had just celebrated her third birthday in August.
Stevie loved her nose boops
As mentioned in her Chronicles, Stevie had been diagnosed as FIV+. The Vet did explain that she had no way of knowing how much time we would have with her, the estimates varied from a few months to five years at best, and we were hoping for the very best. Sadly, it was not to be.
Just over a week ago Stevie started to have trouble eating. We scoured the pet shops finding soft foods that would tempt her, and for a while they worked. However, she became thinner but showed no signs of being in pain. We agonised over taking her to the Vet, because we knew what the recommended outcome would be. As long as she showed no signs of discomfort we would do our best for her. Stevie passed away quietly at home, loved and cared for up to her last minute.
Happier days
Rest In Peace Stevie – 15 August, 2018 to 2nd October, 2021

Poor Stevie
You’ve gone over that rainbow
And you’re in a way better place
Thank you David.
